Mangaluru: St Joseph Engineering College inaugurates NCACSP

Mangaluru, Aug 14: The inauguration of national conference on advances in communication and signal processing, NCACSP-2015, organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at St Joseph Engineering College – Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, was held on August 13 at 9.30 am in the Spoorthi Conference Hall of the academic block – III. Dr Srinivas Talabattula, associate professor, Electrical Communication Engineering, IISc – Bengaluru, graced the occasion as chief guest.










The function began by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer song by Jess Corda and team.

Dr Roshan Joy Martis, convener of NCACSP-2015 welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. He introduced the chief guest Dr Srinivas Talabattula to the audience.

Lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries marked the beginning of NCACSP-2015.

Dr Savitha H M, HOD, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, briefed the gathering about the conference. NCACSP-2015 is the third edition of the conference arranged by the department.
Chief guest, Dr Srinivas Talabattula congratulated the management for organizing this conference. He also spoke about the importance of attending various conferences in one’s professional growth and was also of the opinion that conferences such as these gave an insight to the technological developments across the world. He encouraged the students to attend more such conferences.

Proceedings of the conference were then released by the dignitaries.

Dr Joseph Gonsalves, guest of honor of the function, welcomed all the delegates to SJEC and also motivated the organizers to plan an international conference in the years to come. He also spoke about J C Bose and his contribution to the field of communication.

Fr Rohith D’Costa in his presidential address congratulated the department of ECE, for organizing the 3rd national conference. He requested the faculty and the students to fruitfully utilize the conference and also told the students to have a dream and to work hard for its achievement.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Veena Desai, convener, NCACSP-2015.
