Billawas Dubai, Northern Emirates to distribute scholarships

Mangaluru, Aug 14: Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates (BDNE) Charitable Trust, Mangaluru will distribute scholarship on Sunday August 16 in Adyakksha Koragappa memorial hall in shri Gokarnatheshwara Temple Kudroli, Mangaluru. This was revealed at a press meet held here at press club on August 14.


Speaking at the occasion Sathish Poojary, President, Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates Charitable Trust said "Outstanding social reformer and great saint Shree Narayana Guru stressed the need to educate the weaker sections of the society. Under the guidance of his principles, Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates have set some specific aims. Encouraging education among the younger generation of needy families is our primary goal. We inspire young girls and boys from remote Villages to take courses and work towards building a better future,"

"The event will be graced by M S Kotian, Professor KMC. Mangaluru, Nithyananda D Kotian, president, Billawar Association Mumbai, H S Sairam, president Shri Gokamatheswara Kshetra Kudroli, Veda Kumar, president Billava Association, Bengaluru, Mohan C Poojary, Founder president Gujarath Billavara sangha and Ganesh A Bangera. president Shri Guru Charitable Trust. We are proud to felicitate Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee Jaya C Suvarna on this occassion. This year in 2015 BDNE charitable trust has chosen 211 deserving students Who are studying medicine, engineering, nursing, post graduation and also some pursing PHD programmes. 18 outstanding students will get recognition by way of excellency awards. We have also identified 11 helpless and sick individuals who are in need of financial assistance for urgent medical care. This year we are distributing Rs 13.83 lacs during the event on 16th August 2015," Poojary added.

"As always members of Shri Guru Charitable Trust have conducted survey of applicants by visiting their homes in remote located villages. Their comprehensive report on students have made us identify genuinely deserving students and make this scholarship program really meaningful."Poojary concluded.
