Udupi: Hirgana Sannidhi feast to be held from August 17 to 21

Mangaluru, Aug 17: This year's feast of Hadi Shree Brahma Baidarkala Mayandala Devi Sannidhi has been organized at Hirgana. The spiritual feast started on Monday August 17 and will carry on to August 21. Various cultural and spiritual activities will be held in the five days.





Monday August 17, will have torana muhurtha pooja from 7.00 am followed by Anna Santharpana organized by ‘Srinivas Kripa’ Kanangi.

Tuesday August 18, will have Kola of Sri Brahmabaidarkaladi Parivara Daiva followed by Anna Santharpana.

Wednesday August 19, Brahma Bali will be organized in the morning and Sri Mayandala Devi Kola will be held at 10.00 pm followed by Anna Santharpana.

Thursday August 20, will have Mahapooja along with other regular poojas and rituals.

Friday 21, Navaka Pooja and Homa organized by the temple trust will begin in the morning and Sonarati, a special pooja will start from 8.00 pm.

Hadi Shree Bhahma Baidarkala Mayandala Devi Sannidhi, a holy powerful kshetra is placed in the midst of serenity and greenery. The temple is set up very close to the Suvarna river 1.5 km towards the east from Nellikatte of Hirgan village on the Karkala – Hebri national highway.

The temple has 400 years of holy history. The temple originally belonged to Koti-Chennaya, then Maya ruled after the twin brother’s period.

Along with Devi Sanidhya, Dumavati Daiva on the left and Jogi Purusharu on the right will always bless their devotees and fulfill their prayers.
