Kasargod, Aug 18: In a suspected case of suicide, a young woman was found charred to death in her house at Bedadka here on Monday August 17.
The deceased has been identified as Sanya (24), a resident of Bedadka Kolathur.
She was a B Ed student at a college in Kasargod. She had got married to Balal Ajith five years ago.
It is suspected that Sanya set herself on fire when her mother had gone out and no one else was at home. When her mother returned, she found to her utter shock that her daughter had been completely charred to death.
The reason behind the suicide is not yet known.
The police arrived at the spot and investigated.
The body was taken to Pariyaram hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and investigations are on.
