Kasargod: Motor bike knocks down pedestrian to death

Kasargod, Aug 19: A pedestrian was killed after a motor bike knocked him down near Kunjathoor, Manjeshwar, on national highway on Tuesday August 18 night.
 
The deceased has been identified as Imtiaz (19), son of  Abubakker, an auto rickshaw driver by profession, a resident of Toominad.
 
Imtiaz was walking by the side of the road when a motor bike moving towards Manjeshwar from the direction of Talapady hit him. Imtiaz was tossed to the road in the accident, as a result of which he suffered grave injuries. Although arrangements were made to admit him into a hospital at Mangaluru, he did not respond to treatments, and passed away.
 
Manjeshwar police have seized the motor bike which caused the accident. The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of government hospital at Mangalpady. 
 
Manjeshwar police have registered a case and taken up investigation
