Kasargod, Aug 20: A complaint filed with the deputy superintendent of police here claims that Bilal (15), son of Abdul Karim from Madhur Patla has been abducted by Sajeevan, a resident of Chandragiri Keeyur. It is said that the boy was abducted on July 9, and that he remains untraced till now.

Bilal was a student of the local Madrassa. He was allegedly abducted by Sajeevan when the boy was here to buy new clothes on the occasion of Pernal festival. It is being claimed that Sajeevan had undergone religious conversion in the past, and has a number of wives. The police investigation has revealed that he is an accused in several cases including thefts.

Reportedly, Sajeevan kept the abducted boy at Chembarika, where he employed the boy in a hotel and collected money the boy earned there. When the family went there, the boy could not be found. Later, Bilal told his family that he was put to work in a hotel at Kozhikode. When policemen went there in search of him, he has gone missing.

The police learnt that a man and a boy, who claimed themselves to be father and son, had got employment in a hotel near Ayikkara Kadappura in Kannur. But there too, the duo had escaped before the police reached there. As per the current information, the two are hiding at a spot located between Kasargod and Mangaluru. Policemen have stepped up efforts to find out the whereabouts of this boy.
