Mangalore, June 18: A training programme was organized by ICYM for presidents, secretaries, treasurers and Amcho Yuvak at Youth Center here on Sunday June 17.

Nearly 150 office-bearers were present from all over the diocese. Programme was inaugurated by Norbert Misquith, ex-president by lighting the lamp. ICYM director Fr Anil D’Souza, president Kevin D’Souza from Bajpe and secretary Arun Nirkhan were present on the dais. Norbert Misquith, delivered a talk on Youth Activities in parish units and shared his experience.

Ice-breaking was carried out by ex-president Arun Ajekar. Later in the afternoon, a talk on career advancement was given by Stephen Quadros, a well-known writer and community leader.

Later PSTA training was given to the newly-elected unit presidents, secretaries, treasurers and Amcho Yuvak representatives by Kevin, Arun, Marita, Stevan and Melwyn Pernal respectively.

New vicar general of the diocese Fr Denis Moras Prabhu felicitated the newly-elected office-bearers. This was followed by oath-taking ceremony. Deanery-level cup winners list was announced by cup secretary Jossy Bantwal.  The programme was compered by Melwyn Pernal.

General body meeting and Cup Awarding ceremony will be organized on Sunday July 8 at Rosario Hall.
