Kasargod, Sep 21: Police have arrested a person who kidnapped a 6 year old girl on Sunday, September 20 in Chimeni in Chervuvathur near here. They handed over the girl to her parents.

Aruldas (60) from Chennai in Tamil Nadu is the person arrested.

As per details, Fathima, the mother of the 6 year old girl had gone to fetch water on Sunday morning. Father of the girl was sleeping then. Aruldas, who had come to beg at that time in the area, saw the girl who was playing. He then took her with him.

The parents who realized about the missing of their daughter started searching for her in the neighbourhood as well as in other places. But as they did not find her anywhere, they complained to the Chimeni police station.

The Chimeni police informed about the incident to other police stations immediately and also started searching in buses and trains. In the evening they managed to find Aruldas traveling in a bus with the kidnapped innocent girl at Kannur. Upon grilling Aruldas admitted that the girl was kidnapped.

Later the parents of the girl were called to the police station and the girl was handed over to them. Aruldas was a regular beggar in Chimeni area and has been living there for many years.

There is a one pro verb" SAAT KE BAAD NAAT" means after 60 man cannot control his mind. So I think better to make his Psychology test then only take necessary action against him weather he belongs to any caste.

It is a clear case of Human Trafficking. Parents have to keep a 24 x 7 watch on their children. Thank god the child was found.

Thanks to the police department for saving this innocent girl. How this old man mesmerized the girl is yet to be known. May be he offered alcohol braced sweets or so. What were his intentions? Beggary or some hidden motives.
Police should make full investigation if needed under first degree torture.

Good work by the police. I am happy this child was reunited with her parents but many children are not so lucky some are kidnapped others are sold by their own parents, guardians for few thousand rupees also sometimes the police are hand in glove with racketeers for hafta. The beggars donot want to work and live on charity. They know very well that we sympathies and give away money very easily, but by doing so we are spoiling them more. It is the most dreaded social evil and worst because little children come in this racket. Child begging is one of the worst forms of childlabour. These so called guardians use the little ones for begging and it is we who help them by giving money, which doesn't go to the children but used to buy drugs and alcohol for the adults. The small babies are given drugs so that they sleep throughout the ordeal sometimes they are even maimed so that they can earn more money from sympathizers.

First we should stop giving cash to the children, who slog for begging in sun, cold and rain. We can always give them food, clothing and education. Once this evil of begging is stopped. Less and Less children will be used for this trade, which has a nexus of criminals and some policemen involved. LETS TAKE A PLEDGE TO STOP GIVING MONEY TO CHILD BEGGARS. No govt is also saving the children since they are small and donot figure in the voting list.

@JL Mumbai, you are right.first place not only public but govt also should Show some concern about begging children. It should be stopped children begging.wherever they see a child begging around,Govt should collect them and bring it to some ashram and make them to go School.warn parents and fine them, when no Money tell them govt will send them elsewhere for School. They should arrange Bhagya for children instead of some animal bhagya.when our children are happy and healthy,we too are happy.who knows what he had in mind.Thought of going in Pension and making the child to earn for him?or sell the child? How cruel can be a Person at this Age ,taking away a child with force from its Family ?what a tragody would be for that child!.Thank God Police acted swiftly here.A big thanks to them.

Govt only talks about big big things like investment in crores of rupees and what not but what is the use of all this if our Indian children are suffering are being misused donot get even one time meal leave alone food clothes shelter education these are like luxuries for them and no body is bothered hence if youll see any child begging try to rehabilitate that child educate every Indian rich poor about this racket. It is difficult but not impossible.

@Leo-Bangalore/ I have one question to you?. If this beggar had kidnapped your own child, what would have been your re-action? Will you forgive him? Tell me honestly.
JESUS didn't tell kidnap children & sell to others. "Forgiveness" will not apply here.

In Tamil Nadu and Punjab/Haryana, girl child is killed the day it is born, then why this man is interested in a girl ?
According to TV news, these 6 year old girls are purchased and taken care by some people. They inject Oxytocin, called love steroid to them and by another 6 years, they look grown up as 18 years. Then they are sold to brothels for 5 to 10 lakhs. This looks strange, but true.

Cut his leg and make him permanently sit one place and beg. So he can not do the same crime again. May be he is involving in child trafficking/selling children to begging racket.
