Bengaluru, Sep 25: Normal life across the state may be disrupted due to the observance of Karnataka bandh called by pro-Kannada organizations on Saturday, September 26. The dawn to dusk bandh is called with the demand of the implementation of the Kalasa Banduri and Mekedatu projects.
The organizers expect a total shutdown in the state as the bandh is backed by nearly 1,000 associations including labour unions and other organizations. Employees of all government owned road transport corporations and drivers of cabs and auto rickshaws also have decided to participate in the bandh which will affect the commuting in the state.
Private schools are expected to declare a holiday on Saturday. Hotel owners, the entertainment industry and vegetable traders are also supporting the bandh.
