Dubai, Sep 29: The curtain raiser programme for 'Tulu Parba' being organized by UAE Tulu Koota-Dubai was held at Fortune Plaza hotel.
K R Tantry welcomed the gathering and briefed about the silver jubilee programme to be held on October 9 at Al Nasr Leisureland Ice Rink, Dubai starting from 3 pm onwards. He stated that Dr Veerendra Heggade will be attending the function as chief guest and along with him Dr B R Shetty, philantropist Ronald Colaco, and Janaki Brahmavar will be the guests of honour for Tulu Parba 2015.
Well-known actors 'Telikede Bolli' Devdas Kapikad, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar and Satish Bandale will be the special attraction for this programme, and will be performing a unique short skit specially scripted for the silver jubilee programme.
Famous magician Kudroli Ganesh, the first Indian magician to design and create his own style of illusions with the single-minded intention of reviving the mysticism of ancient Indian magic, will be performing a top class illusion show along with his troupe.
Jasmitha Vivek and team will showcase a cultural programme.
Manohar Heggade, entertainment coordinator briefed about this year’s Tulu Parba and said it will have stalls/exhibitions and cultural programmes from different Mangaluru associations across UAE. There will be games and other activities of Tulunadu to keep enthusiastic Tulauvas engaged.
Prasanna Shetty, Anand Salian, Vasu Shetty, Ritesh Anchan and Ganesh Kotian will be conducting various games.
The finale will be the grand Tulu procession with tableau and folklore artistes depicting the rich cultural heritage of Tulunadu. Girish Shetty, Sarvotham Shetty, Noel Almeida, Lawrence, Satish Shetty, Chidananda Poojary, Dinesh Shetty, Rajesh Kutthar, Jaganath Bellare, Ramesh Suvarna, Vishwanath Shetty, Sudhakar Thumbay, Prabhakar Shetty, Oswald, Jayanth Shetty, Ashok Anchan, Pradeep Kirodian and Manohar Tonse will be leading the team.
Daya Kirodian, treasurer of UAE Tulu Koota Dubai, requested support from all the communities and associations to make the event successful.
Tulu Koota has personally invited presidents / leaders of all the Mangalurean associations and requested to support Tulu Parbha 2015 and make it memorable.
During the programme, Alwyn Pinto, president of Mangalore Konkans released the UAE Tulu Koota silver jubilee logo and conveyed his wishes for the Mmega event. Prashanth Acharya, managing director of Shaan Tourism released the flyer.
