Mumbai, Oct 3: Well known littérateur of the land, active member of Bantara Sangha, Mumbai, member of Bantara Vani editorial board, husband of Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha Maharashtra advisory committee member Sunitha M Shetty, resident of Perara Mundabettuguthu by origin, Mahabala R Shetty (89), passed away at his residence here at night on Friday October 2 after a brief illness.

Being a follower of the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, his death on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi has surprised many.

Bantara Sangha Mumbai president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Bombay Bunts Association president Shama N Shetty, Kannadiga Patakarthara Sangha Maharastra president Chandrashekar Palethady, honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal, Bantaravani executive president Shantaram B Shetty, honorary chief editor Premanath B Shetty, office bearers of several associations and members have expressed their condolences on his demise. The last rites of the deceased were performed in Kurla crematorium.
