Mumbai: Books on Kannada literature released

Mumbai, Oct 5: The Kannada department of Mumbai University and Kendra Sahitya Academy, New Delhi jointly held a programme at J P Nayak auditorium Kaleena campus Vidyanagari on October 2 on literary thinking and released three books written by different authors on the occasion.






























The programme was presided over by the head of the department of Kannada Dr G N Upadhya. Sameer Krishna Deshpande, Patrakarthara Vedike Bengaluru, Udupi district president Shekar Ajekar, Dr Sanjiva Kulkarni and Sudeendra Kulkarni were present.

Dr Vyasaraya Ninjooru inaugurated the book 'Kannada Karana Purusha – R H Deshpande' written by Dr Krishna Kolara; author and researcher V G Nayak inaugurated 'Vinoda Saudhada Sahithi H Dundiraj', written by Dr G N Upadhya and Dr G N Upadhya inaugurated 'Maharastrada Kannada Sthalanamagalu', book written by Dr Krishna Kolara Kulkarni and journalist and researcher Dr Seethalaxmi Karkikodi.

Rama Udupa introduced the guests, Shamala Prakash welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Chandra Joshi proposed the vote of thanks.
