Mangaluru, Oct 12: Viveka Jagrutha Balaga, Mangaluru, under the aegis of Divine Park Trust (R), Saligrama held 'Adyathmika Rasagavala', a spiritual talk at TMA Pai Convention hall here on Sunday October 11.

Blessing the occasion, in his spiritual address to the gathering, Dr V Chandrashekar Udupa, editor of Viveka Sampada, Viveka Veena, Viveka Kirana, said, "The soul has potential for divine life. From where do we come and where do we go?. This is the question even science has no answer for. 'Rasagavala' has been organized to enrich the spiritual thoughts of people. Spirituality is like a sea. God gives plenty of happiness free of cost without any discrimination of caste, religions and sect. And He monitors us from the womb to tomb."

He further said, "God, Dharma, and Sadhana are meant to solve the problems of life. Life is not all about seeking the materialistic pleasure. Novelty and sublime thoughts should be our first priority. Every second in life is ours and we have come here to spread the sweetness of paradise. Only the present is ours. Past is already gone and future is a dream. Life is not permanent. God is the skilled engineer. No one can predict death. Death is the confidential report of God."

"Earlier people had confidence, conviction, control, consideration and contentment in God, but in the present scenario it is ruined because of modernization. We are losing human values and inhumane behaviour is on the rise," he said.

He also reasoned that nobody should follow any path blindly.

"There is happiness when you throw away the worries. There are enemies within which prevent you from happiness. When you get rid of enemies like hatred, jealousy and doubt, you will achieve real happiness. When we live like innocent children, we can see god. Live your life optimistically always," he added.

On this occasion, Monappa Gowda, working president of welcoming committee, Shashidhar, president of Viveka Jagruthi Balaga Mangaluru East, trustees KG Karisiddappa, Shripathi Somayaji Sandesh Kumar Rai president of Viveka Jagruthi Balaga Mangaluru west and others were present.

Whatever Dr. C. Udupa said in his speech is very true and listening and reading what he said will help many to discard jealousy, hatred and selfishness and be on their way to brotherliness and happiness.
We are not permanent here, he said.
Almighty has given us a life span to do good, to work\achieve for the betterment of people in this world
to be in good books of the Almighty.
Like Satan, there are selfish people in this world and do bad things for their selfish goals, trying to defeat God's goodness and do harm to people which people should not follow. Trying to defeat God's goodness is like trying empty the sea with a shell...
Let us take a cue and be good to each other, being neighbourly and sing in unison the praise of the Almighty for the well being of every human being. Shun any attempt made by selfish people to destroy peace especially through politics.

It is heartening to note good turnout which itself shows there is a need for organising similar spiritual gatherings all over.
