Befitting event marks Jashn-e-Bhatkal celebration in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah, Oct 12: Bhatkal Community Jeddah (BCJ) organised Jashn-e-Bhatkal celebration at Al Hamra hotel in Jeddah followed by a sumptuous dinner on Thursday, October 8.

The programme began with recitation of the Quran by Hafiz Ifzal Savri. BCJ general secretary, Ubaidullah Askeri welcomed the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, BCJ president, Raihan Kobatte said, “We are serving the Haj pilgrims for the last 35 years. We are launching a magazine so that our new generation will know the organisation and its achievements”.

General secretary of Bhatkal Muslim Khaleej council, Younus Kazia released the magazine.

After inaugurating the programme, chief guest Younus Kazia said, “I appreciate BCJ for their achievements especially in serving the people during Haj. This is the most active organisation in Bhatkal Muslim Khaleej council. I request the people to avoid buying forest land in Bhatkal. The traffic in Bhatkal is increasing and we hear about accidents and deaths every day. Parents should ensure that youngsters riding bikes should wear helmets and drive only with valid licence”.

Editor-in-chief of ‘Sahil Online’ Inayatullah Gawai stressed on the need for values in the media in the present scenario. 

Mentors of BCJ Zahid Ruknaddin and Ishaque Shahbandari also presented their views on the occasion. 

As many as 21 Bhatkali students studying in Jeddah were presented with education excellence award.

The special award was presented to national level Kabaddi winner team at KSA. There were different games, public quiz and entertainment for members who actively participated. There was also a lucky draw and 55 prizes were given away to the winners.

BCJ holds get-together programme at the time of Eid or Haj every year. BCJ, one of the active organisations from Bhatkal, a Muslim Khaleej council wing was established 35 years ago.

Jablain presented Naath while Naveed Hassan Ikkery compered and Habibullah Mohtesham delivered the vote of thanks.

A separate programme was organised for women on the occasion.
