Mangaluru, Oct 14: Here is an opportunity for budding as well as experienced comedy artistes from around the Konkani world to showcase their talent on the television.

Auditions for season two of comedy TV reality show 'Hasyancho Paavs' will be held in Kalangann, Shaktinagar, Mangaluru on October 24 and 25.

United Friends Bejai in association with Daijiworld 24x7 will be bringing this show, in order to provide exposure to Konkani comedy artistes and bring out the best in them. The winning team will get Rs 1 lac cash, and Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 will be given away as second and third prizes.

Wild card entries for non-coastal teams :

To facilitate teams from outside the coastal region, organisers have decided to give wild card entries for at least four teams, as some of the teams from the Gulf region have shown interest in participating in the contest. Such teams will be given wild card entries to particiapte directly in the second round to be held in November end or early December 2015.

The rules and regulations of the competition are as follow:

• The competition will be in Konkani.
• 3 to 4 artistes are allowed in each group.
• An artiste from one group cannot act in another group.
• Performance that hurts religious sentiments or lowers esteem is prohibited, and may result in disqualification or suspension of the team.
• Insult to national flag or to people of repute is not allowed.
• The participants in the competition should declare their identities in the form provided by the organizers.
• Necessary items required for the competition should be brought by the respective participants.
• The stage should be left tidy and clean after the peformance.
• Use of fire, water or explosives in or outside the premises during the competition is banned.
• Recorded dialogues cannot be used in the competition.
• Indecent language is not allowed.
• The participants should be present at the stipulated time.
• Each team will get 18 minutes to perform. A reminder bell will be sounded after 15 minutes.
• The decision of the judges will be final. The team will be disqualified if they argue or speak against the decision.
• The judges have the right to stop a performance before the stipulated time if it is not up to the mark.
• The organizers have the right to change the rules.
• The team will be disqualified if the participants come to the competition after consuming alcohol.
