Bengaluru : All is not well in state Congress as Krishna visits Delhi

Daijiworld Media Network-Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Oct 15: It seems all is not well in the state Congress as former external affairs minister and former chief minister S M Krishna is learnt to have decided to visit Delhi on Thursday October 15.

Sources in the Congress state unit said that Krishna has put a request for appointment with AICC president Sonia Gandhi as well as her political secretary Ahmed Patel ‘to discuss the political situation in Karnataka with the party high command'.

Sources also said that Krishna will brief the high command about the performance of Siddaramaiah-led government in the state. It is a well-known fact that Krishna has shown his displeasure openly on the government several times in the recent past.

Krishna is believed to have expressed his opinion to the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi during his state visit last week. He had reportedly warned a group of Congress leaders that the party’s image will take a hit if the government did not change its style of functioning.

Sonia had a telephonic conversation with Krishna a few days back when she had requested Krishna to guide the government on the issue of increasing farmers’ suicides in the state and to present a report on actions taken on the same.

Recently Krishna had also taken an indirect dig at Siddaramaiah for not taking the party leaders into confidence while taking important decisions.

Some other developments which have taken place in the state after Rahul Gandhi's recent state visit send a signal that all is not well here. S M Krishna and B K Hariprasad who had not spoken to each other for years met recently. Senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge also met another senior leader Jaffer Sharif. Chalavadi Narayanaswamy who had written a letter to the party high commend on the dalit chief minister issue was present during this meeting. Narayanaswamy has been repeatedly talking about the dalit CM issue.

It is believed that there is polarization on the lines of ‘original’ Congress leaders. S M Krishna Mallikarjun Kharge, B K Hariprasad, MV Rajashekaran are members of this group. Representing the ‘original’ Congress leaders Krishna will tell the high command that they have been sidelined in the state administration and their opinions are not taken in any matters, sources said.

Meanwhile state Congress president G Parameshwar in Bengaluru on Wednesday said that the vested interests had unnecessarily created confusion on the issue of giving a cheque to family members of a farmer who committed suicide. In the same press meet he distanced himself from the Chalavadi Narayanaswamy’s dalit chief minister issue saying it is his personal view.

Clarity will emerge once Krishna expresses his views to the party high command.

yes, count down has started some time back itself. Now it's visible. they don't know what to do, whom to blame kind of. let them take a long break and work out what went wrong, what are the mistakes done by earlier leaders, crimes they were a part of , especially the Bose's case which is getting reopened now which will definitely bring out the other side of Congress party , leaders including Nehru... it's a time to take a break , give both state and central in BJP's hand and let them rule the country for some time and let's sit and watch. I bet, it will be a great new ear of India shining at world class level. Sooner Modi will be a world class leader and India will shine as a top class developed country. and with the potential we have at our state , nothing can stop us becoming the top state of the country. Only thing all these cunning dongi Congi's should be chased away from the power. May be most of them will be inside jail for all the crimes and scams which will be investigated under BJP govt.

The Karnataka state Congress was, due to the people's disgust with the scams, misrule and don't-care attitude of the BJP Govt., elected to power to provide good governance.

Even though Congress has come to power with a negative vote, it has gone back to it's old style of functioning.

It had better set it's house in order and provide a people-friendly, progressive administration. If not, people will not hesitate to dump them into the dustbin of history.

Karnataka Congress, wake up and do not live in a make-believe world. You are accountable to the people of Karnataka. People have already given you enough opportunities. There is a saying that 'You can fool some of the people some (or all) of the time, but, you cannot fool all of the people all of the time'.

History repeats. In 1990 October communal violence happened in the state, so many people died. Then congress president Rajiv Gandhi visited the state, result : then CM Virendra Patil lost his post. Now so many farmers committed suicide. Rahul Gandhi visited the state.. Result may be....???????. But if same result will repeat, it is good for Karnataka!!!!!!
