Dubai, Oct 17 : Mangalore Konkans’ UAE level "Vividh Vinodaval Spordho" - a group talent contest culminated on a grand note this Friday, 16th October, 3:30 to 10:30 PM at JSS School Auditorium Dubai. Eight teams participated in the contest with the themes of Patriotism, Peace & Harmony, Save Environment and Social Issues. In a very keen contest team Sparsh emerged winners.
The event took off with theme song of Mangalore Konkans and was inaugurated by guests Raju Francis Fernandes, Michael Dsouza, Walter Nandalike, Alwyn Pinto, Mangalore Konkans president and by the team leaders of participating teams pouring different colors to the vase symbolizing creativity and variety. Eight teams, Vamanjooreans UAE, Konkani Tharam, Konkan Yuva, Canara Konkans, Natiram Niddodi, Sparsh, Cordelche Kalakar,Emirates Kasargod Konkans put up a spectacular show of their talents in the time allotted to them. The contest was ably judged by Sannu Monis, Wilson Pinto, Arun Raj Rodrigues, Vinay Vas and Silvia.
Konkani Tharam team won the second runner up trophy, while Konkan Yuva won the title of First runner up and Team Sparsh won the trophy of the event. In addition to this individual prizes were also given to the outstanding performance for the evening.

Number of talented singers of U.A.E kept the program rolling with their melodious singing. Enthusiastic bunch of singers included Janel D’souza, Sabitha Mathias, Reena, Cynthia Latha, Wilson, Joseph Mathias,Lancy Madtha, Lydwin, Francis, Melwin and Robin Sequeira. Crowd appreciated and applauded performance of each singer especially Larissa, Little girl from Fujairah and Mr. Harish Sherigar who mesmerized the crowd with the song ‘Mog Tuzo Kitlo Ashello’ of late Wilfy Rebimbus.
The event was attended by a large crowd, who savored the performance by every team participated. An Audio Album of Ajith Peter Dsouza and Video CD of Maxim Pereira were released at the event. The event was wonderfully compered by Ashith Pinto, Bantwal and Rowena Pereira. Dj Lancy kept the mood of the event soaring with his music and Broadway Event managed the sounds.The spectacular dance performance by Feetbeat group kids and members left the audience spellbound.
Again, enthusiastic Managlore Konkans members under the leadership of Arun,event coordinator and President Alwyn pinto left no stone unturned to craft the event to perfection.. The main motto of the event was to provide platform for the talented individuals and it was materialized by more than 160 participants performing on the stage for various groups and displaying their creative persona. The event undoubtedly enthralled all the audience in a packed auditorium.
