Mangaluru: Bus crushes man to death at Kankanady

Mangaluru, Oct 20: A person died on the spot after he came under a bus at Kankanady here on Tuesday October 20.

The deceased has been identified as Balakrishna Moolya, a resident of Neermarga. He was employed in ICICI Bank, it is learnt.

The man was on his way to claim insurance in another accident death when he was crushed under a bus in front of Father Muller hospital. 

The bus was moving towards Valencia.

Pandeshwar police have registered a case.

    Ban all the private city buses and bring KSRTC buses instead. Because private buses are in competing and racing to gain more business and causing harm to pedestrians and commuters. ITS TIME TO BRING KSRTC BUSES. Authorities are you hearing?????

    Mangalore RTO is busy in collecting money from four and two wheeler owners for small mistakes. They do not even bothered to question rash driving of city bus and express buses....they drive crazy everybody knows it. I do agree that RTO is not solely responsible for stopping all this. Like how they catch hold of small vehicle owners for their mistakes, they should do same with busses also. Also drivers should behave responsibly

    almost 99% of the Mangaloreans want Govt Busses to be deployed and that's the only way to teach a lesson to the bus owners as well as these monster drivers. when they die with out job or food, then they will realize what a blunder they were in and also make them to think how many lives they have killed on their way.

    1 for the accident death count. I am wondering what's target the authorities and RTO kept to achieve. Mangalore a damn hell for the vehicle drivers. Top in the list are the bus drivers. They are absolutely killing monsters. They just press accelerator, irrespective anybody on their way, anybody coming below their tyres, anobody falling on the road... absolutely no care. Some times they threat you literally acting they will drive above you. Unless you are so daring to stop them, responding on the similar way, they will make your life miserable. Problem is not with them, problem is with the authorities who have given them this power indirectly. No actions taken, who ever caught released immediately, bus owner's blessings on these bloody killing mosters... all these are giving them this power to kill a normal citizen or a common man. No wonder these deaths are on and on and we the responsible citizens ( we assume ) give comments, recommendations, suggestions, RIP messages... ultimately of no use at the end.

    such accidents are taking place bcus of rash drivings of each n every citizen not oly d bus drivers oly thing is to be made is the driving tst of evry person shud b strict.Im saying it bcus even i met wit an accidnt jus befre 7 months exactly at tat plc n it was the fault of d driver.Anyway it is left up to d ministries.Thank you.

    sad incident. recall reading not too long ago that all major roads in mangalore to get drainage and footpaths within 3 months. guess i'm in the wrong part of town to have missed any significant undertakings. if only there was more control over buses plying uncontrollably. we on our side being more alert also won't do any harm.

    Problem is EYE TEST is not compulsory for drivers in India.
    Only Rs.50 to 100/- will do the work.

    The heavy traffic, narrow roads, reckless driving by the drivers (completion with rival Company) puts pedestrian’s life in danger. Lack of put paths another hurdle. Crossing the roads is like escaping the death trap. You have to hold your breath & heart and pray for safety . OMG!

    once again a tragic death of an innocent person.the same kind of incident had happend in vamanjor where a girl lost her life.these days mangalore is not so safe to walk as well because of rash driving .i think its better to not drive vehicle if they dont know,specially bus drivers.when i travell in bus i see the way the bus drivers drive.verry horrible and rashly they drive the bus .just to do show off or to race with other bus they drive rashly with full on speed.i dont know why people are keeping quite when these inccident are repeatdly happenning.i just pray to god that the person who lost his life may his soul rest in peace and god give his family members to overcome this inccident.
