Mangaluru: Bhatkal man dies on Air India Express flight from Dammam

Mangaluru, Oct 21: A passenger hailing from Bhatkal died on Air India Express flight from Dammam, which landed at Mangaluru International Airport here in the early hours of Wednesday October 21.

The deceased has been identified as Ibrahim Khaleel Ruknaddin (55).

An official at Air India Express told daijiworld that when the flight from Dammam landed at 3.35 am in Mangaluru, Khaleel was found unconscious.

Doctors were called to the airport immediately and he was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared dead, the official said, adding that the cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

It is learnt that Khaleel had suffered a minor heart attack about five months ago in Mumbai airport.

He was working with his brother Ahmed Tahir in an electronics and mobile shop in Jubail. He leaves behind his wife, four sons and two daughters.
