Udupi, Oct 21: Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike (KKSV) Udupi unit, Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi (DSS) members staged a protest in front of Clock tower, Udupi here on Tuesday October 20 condemning the murder of Hindutvavadi Prashant Poojary Moodbidri, an assault on Kandlur Dalit youths and against communal politics.






Jayan Malpe addressing the protestors said "Udupi- Chikmagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje spoiled the peaceful environment of Kandlur by meeting Manjunath, who was got severely injured in a communal clash. If Shobha has morality, she must condemn the Raghupati Bhat's wife's murder. DSS is not against any person,"

He also said "Politicians should not misuse Dalits' innocence to their selfish desires."

Speaking on the occasion Paniraj said "Now the social situation is worsened at Kandlur region and anti-social activists are creating hatred in the minds of people.

The accused in Kandlur case should get severe punishment under law. Violence is not a solution for all communal problems. Murder is not an answer for any problem.

Anti-social powers are filling aggressive thoughts in youths' mind. Some groups are creating fearful atmosphere in the society.

Rajshekhar, Manjunath Giliyar, Shashidhar Hemmady, Idris Hoode and other members were present.
