Music is integral part of my film: Varun Khanna

Mumbai, Nov 22 (IANS): "Yeh Ishq Sarfira" director Varun Khanna feels that music is an integral part of his film, which is based on real life incidents.

"I am grateful to such big singers like Javed Ali, Tulsi Kumar and Shruti Pathak who agreed to sing for our film despite our film featuring newcomers. The composers' music and our script were one of the reasons why they agreed and we feel proud about it," said Khanna about the film that stars Akhilesh Verma and Naina Aswal.

"My film is a revenge story with love as a backdrop and it is inspired from real incidents. Pranav (Vatsa) and Ayan (Ali Abbas) are not established composers, but the kind of flair they showed convinced us that they were perfect for the film," he added.

From a party number "Sutta party" to a romantic track "Dil yeh mera", the film has a varied collection of songs.

“The catchy lyrics and everyday lingo of the youth in the song, ‘Sutta party’ is especially catching up and being discussed widely among the youth," said Khanna.

The film is set for a November 27 release.
