Udupi, Dec 4: In a shocking incident reported from Bantakal in the taluk, a woman who had come to her native place from Mumbai to take part in a function committed suicide.
Geetha Shetty (60), mother-in-law of Harish V Shetty from Podumane Tenkamane in Bantakal hanged herself on Saturday December 2.
Geetha had come to her native place to take part in the baby shower programme of the wife of her younger brother. On Saturday she was scheduled to undertake return journey. She was preparing to go back to Mumbai, when suddenly she was found hanging from a sari tied to the roof beam of the house.
It is being said that she was suffering from certain psychological disorders and was being treated for the same, and that this disorder was responsible for this incident.
