Udupi, Jan 5: In an accident involving a mini tempo and motor bike at Dendurkatte Manipura near Kaup on Monday January 4, the motor bike rider lost his life. The deceased was Naveen (25), native of Moodubelle Tirlapalke. His sister, Jyothi, who was riding the pillion, suffered injuries in this accident.
Naveen was going to Udupi from Moodubelle via Manipur with his sister when tragedy struck. A mini tempo loaded with fish that was moving towards Belle from Manipur at high speed hit the motor bike.
The motor bike rider, who sustained grave injuries in the accident, was taken to a private hospital in the town by some locals immediately. However, efforts made by doctors there to save him failed. Kaup police visited the spot and registered a case.
