Mangaluru, Jan 5: A person from Maradka Kambla near Kinnigoli lost his life after slipping into a well. This tragedy occurred on Monday January 4.
Valerian D'Souza from Maradka Kambla fell into a well belonging to a neigbour, Alfred D'Sa. Although locals rushed to his rescue, they could not bring him out of the well. Thereafter, they called the fire brigade. The fire brigade personnel climbed down the well and succeeded in bringing the mortal remains of D'Souza out.
Valerian is survived by wife, a son, and a daughter. Mulky police visited the spot, registered a case, and took up investigation.
