Udupi, Jan 6: A special commemorative postal stamp was released to celebrate the historic event of fifth Paryaya of Pejawar Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji on Monday. The stamp was released at the civic felicitation accorded to the Swamiji.
The stamp was released by Pejawar Swamiji in the presence of postmaster general from Bengaluru, S Rajendra Kumar. Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said that the department of posts documents important historic events, and the fifth Paryaya of Pejawar Swamiji happens to be a historic event. He said that these special postal stamps would be available through post offices and also the special counter opened at car street near Srikrishna Math.
