Kundapur: Fisherman falls into sea, loses life

Kundapur, Jan 7: A fisherman who fell into the sea after losing his balance on Tuesday January 5 evening, died in the incident.

The ill-fated fisherman has been identified as Ramesh Sukdu (45), who was from near Ankola in Uttara Kannada district. He was working for the local 'Suraksha' purse seine boat.

On Tuesday evening, the boat was moving back to the shore after fishing journey, when he lost his balance, fell into the sea, and was washed away. His body was found deposited on the bank of River Panchagangavali on Wednesday. A case about this death was registered in Gangolli police station.
