Mangaluru, Jan 4: “The annual feast of Blessed Joseph Vaz shrine at Mudipu will be held at Miracle Hill on January 15 to 16. Novena will be held from January 6 onwards." said Fr Benjamin Pinto, the parish priest and shrine director.

He was addressing the press meet at press club here on Thursday January 7.

Fr Pinto also said that "Dr Alyosius Paul D' Souza the bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Dr J B Saldanaha Vicar Forane, Mangalore South deanery, Dr Pius Thomas D' Souza Bishop of Ajmir diocese will be the main celebrants for the festival masses at 10.30 am, 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm respectively on January 15."

"On January 16, festal masses will be offered at 10.30 am , 2.00 pm and 6.00pm respectively with Fr Gregory D'Souza, Fr William Menezes and Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu being main celebrants." Fr Pinto added.

"There will be Anna Santharpane during the feast days from 12.30 to 2.00pm. Kannada film show 'Amara Chetana Santha Juje Vaz' will be screened at the shrine on Saturday January 16 at 7:30pm. During the feast and all
the days special prayer is offered for the sick." he said.

On this occasion Roshan D' Souza and Elias Fernandes were present.
