Bantwal: Rs five lac stolen from grocery shop at Badakabail

Bantwal, Jan 10: A theft of Rs five lacs has been reported from the grocery shop of Vishwanatha Poojary, resident of Kariangala gram, Badakabail late night on Friday January 8.

Vishwanatha Poojary had pulled down the shutter of his shop and locked after his business at 9 pm on January 8 and returned to his house as usual.

When he came to the shop at 7.30 am on Saturday, January 9, he found that the shutter was pulled up, the door was open and the lock was lying in the veranda. When he went in the shop and checked, he found that an amount of Rs five lacs kept by him to buy a land was missing.

A complaint has been filed in rural police station.

ACP Rahul Kumar called a dog squad and forensic experts and has intensified investigation.
