Kundapur: Man falls off boat while washing hands, dies

Kundapur, Jan 10: A person who was working as a cook on a boat died after he fell into the water while trying to wash his hands. The incident occured at Gangolli on Saturday, January 9.

Raju Mogaveera (50) from Nagoor is the person deceased.

The boat was anchored in the dock at Manganese road. Raju was washing hands after having his dinner when he accidentally fell off the boat.

The boat workers immediately called the persons concerned. The fire brigade and the police personnel who arrived at the spot began a search for the body, which is yet to be traced.

Police sub inspector Subbanna is leading the search operation. Raju was working for a boat named Siddi.
