‘Ingenious 2016’ calls for cultivation of values with academic excellence

Mangaluru, Jan 11: Prestigious coaching institute ‘Genius’ under the leadership of its director Flavia Lancy D’Souza held a programme of competitions at St Aloysius High School auditorium on Sunday, January 3 morning.


The programme started in the presence of Fr Gilbert Saldanha, Fr Edward Rodrigues and Lancy D’Souza after lighting the traditional lamp. The way by which the future citizens are being molded by Genius institute was recollected in the programme.

Fr Gilbert Saldanha hoped that the institute which has completed ten years may spread its goodness all over the country just like the banyan plant which grows as a large tree after ten years. Fr Edward praised the way the students are being taught in the institute and conveyed his best wishes. Lancy D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Princeton proposed the vote of thanks. Kavana and Simran compered the programmes of the morning. Competitions in quiz, creation of poetry in English, improvising, Kolaj etc were held.

The evening programme started at 5 pm. Founder of Karavali group of industries Ganesh Rao who presided over the evening programme said that it is necessary to grow human values along with education. Parents should create an atmosphere free from tension for students.

Bharath logistics partner Sathish Pai said that the part played by the institute in the growth of a healthy society is large. Students should consider this as an opportunity and grow accordingly. He wished the institute well.

Winners in different competitions were distributed prizes. Information on the achievements of the institute during the last ten years and other forms of entertainment increased the attraction. Ishwar Shetty and Prathyusha Shetty compered the programme.

The students and the parents relished delicious meals at the end of the programme.
