Moodbidri: Infant Jesus feast celebrated at Alangar

Moodbidri, Jan 12: The Infant Jesus feast was celebrated on the January 10 here at Alangar. Dr Henry D’Souza, Bishop of the Diocese of Bellary, presided over the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration in the evening, along with priests from the deanery as well as from the diocese and religious congregation.


































The speciality of this year’s feast in relation to the ‘Year of Mercy’ was the Vehicle rally from Corpus Christi Church, an hour before the mass. The relic of St Pope John Paul II, the propagator of the devotion to the Divine Mercy was brought in procession and instituted in Holy Rosary Church, Alangar. At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, the people received the Benediction of the relic.

Donors and well wishers, political leaders, religious leaders where felicitated by the Bishop after the Eucharist. Fr Basil Vas and Fr Kenneth Crasta thanked everyone for their help and support.
