Mangaluru, Jan 20: Climate in coastal Karnataka including the city has undergone a dramatic change since the last two days. The weather has turned cloudy, with some places experiencing an occasional light drizzle.

The meteorological department has said that presence of low pressure area to the southeast of Arabian Sea and cyclonic conditions over Bay of Bengal have given rise to these changes. As a result, the city has recorded a maximum temperature of 31 degrees and a minimum of 23, with the maximum temperature sliding down by three degrees.

Light drizzle was experienced in some parts of the coast between 6.30 am and 7 am on Tuesday. The city and several other places had a light drizzle in the early hours on Wednesday. The meteorological department has predicted same conditions to continue till Thursday morning.
