Puttur: Truck leans, falls by its side on bike - three injured

Puttur, Jan 20: In an incident which occurred at Kootelu near Uppinangady on Tuesday January 19, a truck which approached the spot at high speed hit a motor bike after the driver lost control over his truck. The truck then fell by its side after leaning towards the motor bike. Luckily, those on the spot survived the accident with some injuries.

Rajashekhar (30) from Nelyady, who was riding the motor bike, and Shankar (45) from Tamil Nadu, who was driving the truck, suffered minor injuries. Nayana (25), who was seated in the back seat of the motor bike, was seriously injured. She was shifted to a hospital.

This accident caused traffic block on national highway for sometime. Uppinangady police, working with local gram panchayat member, Suresh Atramajalu and other locals paved way for resumption of traffic. A case stands filed about the accident.
