High court permits Pravin Togadia to visit Sringeri

Bengaluru, Jan 21: The state high court (HC), on Wednesday January 20, issued formal permission to Vishwa Hindu Parishad international working president Dr Pravin Togadia to visit Sringeri in Chikkamagaluru district.

The permission was issued subject to the condition that he has to procure advance permission for this visit from government authorities concerned.

Togadia had approached the HC, challenging the restriction imposed on his entry into Mangaluru by the city police commissioner between January 18 and 24. In the meanwhile, he had changed his programme in such a way that he could visit Sringeri from Bengaluru by road without touching the city.

Considering this arrangement, the HC issued formal permission to him to visit Sringeri.
