Udupi: Two-day national level Karate championship on Jan 23, 24

Udupi, Jan 21: Uday Kumar Shetty on Thursday, January 21 informed that Kobudo BudoKon Karate-Do Karnataka will be holding a-two-day, third national level open invitational Karate championship on January 23 and 24. 

Dr G Shankar, promoters, G Shankar Family trust would be inaugurating the event in the holy presence of Laxmivartheertha Swamiji, Shiroor Math. 

MP Shobha Karandlaje and former MLA, K Raghupati Bhat will also grace the occasion. Urban development and district-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake will be distributing black belt certificate to the winners. MLA Pramod Madhwaraj will be presiding the programme.

Vidyavanta Acharya, principal, Sharada Residential School, Kunjibettu, Dr Krishna Prasad, Prasad Netralaya, Udupi, K Ramesh Shetty, Ashrayadata, Udupi and Shivaram Poojary, businessman, Mumbai will be felicitated on the occasion.

Chief guests Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLC, Suresh Shetty Gurme, businessman Kaup, P Yuvaraj, president, Udupi municipality, RJ Errol, 92.7 big FM, Savitha S Kotian, president of ZP, SP Rajendra Prasad and others will be present for the event.

More than 2,000  participants will be arriving from Kerala, Andra Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and other states for the event.

The organizing committee is all set to accord a warm welcome to all sports persons.

K Raghupati Bhat, Shihan Santosh Suvarna, organizer, Shihan Ravi Kumar, Udyavar were present.
