Karkala, Jan 23: A complaint stands registered in the town police station here, alleging that a man from the town had repeatedly raped two women from Hirgana near here.
The accused happens to be Biju Thomas (46), who is a native of Tekkumbhagam Turtikere in Pala Todupuzha in Kottayam district in Kerala. he was arrested by the police on Friday. He reportedly used the two women sexually from 2012 onward.
The two women said that Biju had taken them to his rubber plantation and raped them there a number of times. The police have subjected them to medical tests at Manipal hospital.
Biju Thomas had earlier been arrested by the police for holding huge stock of ammonium nitrate at various places without licence. He had secured release recently, but stands arrested now in rape case.
