Mangaluru: Two youths from Farangipet killed in accident at Madikeri, four injured

Mangaluru, Feb 24: Two youths from Farangipet died in a ghastly accident near Talatmane in Madikeri on the evening of Wednesday February 24. Four others sustained serious injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Shafiq (20), son of Sadiq, from 10th Mailugallu, Farangipet, now residing in Thumbay, and Sameer (21), son of Ibrahim, a resident of Kumpanamajalu, Farangipet.

V H Ashfan (18), Tafseer (18), Irfan (19), all from 10th Mailugallu, and Sameer (19) of Kumpanamajalu, sustained serious injuries. They were first taken to a hospital in Madikeri and three of them were later shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment. Among them, Ashfan, Irfan and Sameer are said to be serious, while Irfan escaped with minor injuries.

Shafiq was employed with Thumbay Arafa sand transportation trucks, while Sameer was working in readymade garment store belonging to his relative.

Ashfan and Tafseer are studying in BDPS, Mangaluru while Irfan is pursuing second PU at National Tutorial College in the city and Sameer is a diploma student of PA College of Engineering.

Madikeri police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

    The roads are slippery when new asphalting is done specially in turning area. it is still worst during rain.We should be very careful in such situation. In this pic i think its the mistake of the car driver not the tipper bcoz the tipper is in left side of the road and the car has come to wrong side.

    All Youngsters.may the Soul of decease may rest in peace.whose fault for the accident?At least thank God accident victims were in a good place.cant think if it was in a dangerous place.Hope others will get well soon.

    So sad. May the souls of the deceased RIP and sympathies to the bereaved families, loved ones and friends. The car seems to have been crushed like a match box except the front portion. I wish a speedy recovery of the injured passengers in the car.
