DC to take over as administrator of city municipal council

Puttur, Mar 8: The terms of office of both the president and vice president of the city municipality here will come to an end on March 10. At present, there is a stay order against holding elections for these posts by the high court.

Therefore, the state government has appointed Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner as the administrator of this municipality till a president and vice president are elected. Deputy commissioner, A B Ibrahim, will be taking charge of the city municipality on March 10.
