Kollur temple theft - main accused given to police custody again

Kundapur, Mar 9: The court here has remanded main accused in the case involving siphoning of gold ornaments offered by devotees to Goddess Mookambika temple at Kollur, Shivaram Madiwala, to four more days of police custody to enable police to continue with investigation.

The other accused in the case, Gangadhar Hegde, Prasad Achar, Nagaraj Sheregar, and Ganesh Poojary, have been remanded to judicial custody till March 19.

District superintendent of police, Annamalai, who was personally monitoring this case so far, has handed over further investigation to deputy superintendent of police here, Manjunath Shetty.
