Two-wheelers theft-accused arrested, two scooters confiscated

Udupi, Mar 9: On Tuesday March 8, policemen from the town police station here arrested a person accused of stealing Honda Activa scooters.

The arrested person happens to be Manohar (19), a resident of Badiyadka in Kasargod district. During the inspection of vehicles by police at Ambalpady junction, they found that Manohar, who came riding a Honda Activa vehicle, did not possess proper documents. When he was taken into custody and subjected to intensive questioning, Manohar confessed to have stolen two-wheelers in association with Mahendra, a resident of Kavoor Marakada in Mangaluru.

Two scooters, stolen by the duo in Bunder area of Mangaluru and the road behind the court here, have been taken by the police into possession. The policemen said that Mahendra has already been arrested at Mangaluru relating to the theft of a vehicle.
