Mangaluru: Kidney Day held at A J Hospital

Mangaluru, Mar 11: “The common man should have an awareness of kidney disease. We can bring about joy among those with kidney failure by donating kidneys,” said A J Hospital and Research Center, medical director Dr Prashanth Marla.









He spoke after presiding over the World Kidney Day awareness programme led by A J Hospital and Research Center in coordination with Zonal Coordination Committee of Karnataka for Transplantation on Thursday March 10.

Bengaluru's ZCCK senior organ transplant coordinator, Patricia Vego was the chief guest. Faruk with kidney transplant shared his opinion.

Hospital medical administration director Dr Amitha Marla, consultant urologist Dr Sunil P Shenoy, Preetham Sharma, Dr Raghavendra and others were present. Winners of slogan writing competition regarding organ donation, were presented prizes. Lidwin D'Souza welcomed the gathering.
