Puttur: Man from Neerakatte crushed under train at Bengaluru

Puttur, Mar 14: A person from Neerakatte in Bajattur village near Uppinangady in the taluk lost his life after having been crushed under the wheels of a train. The accident occurred when he was crossing railway tracks at Bengaluru on Saturday March 12.

Mahesh from Neerakatte, it is gathered, was trying to cross the railway tracks when tragedy struck. Mahesh, son of Chandappa Gowda from Neerakatte, was employed at Bengaluru. The accident took place when he was trying to cross a railway crossing at Marathhalli Bengaluru on Saturday, it is said.

The youngster's mortal remains were brought to his native place on Sunday. A large number of his grieving friends, relatives, and well-wishers were present at the funeral which took place on the same day.
