Udupi: Collision between car and bike causes death

Udupi, Mar 15: A man who was riding the pillion of a motor bike lost his life in an accident involving a car. The accident occurred near Bharani petrol bunk in the neighbourhood of Akashvani tower at Brahmavar in the taluk on Monday March 14.

Vyasaraya Acharya (50), a resident of Kumragodu village near Uppinakote here, was killed in this accident. He was seated behind Krishna Poojary, who was riding the two-wheeler at the time of the accident. Poojary also suffered injuries in this accident. Both wanted to visit Perdoor temple, it is said.

Acharya was self employed. His death came on way to hospital. A case stands registered in Brahmavar police station about the accidental death.
