Mangaluru, Mar 19: District legal services authority in association with Father Muller Medical College hospital organized a medical checkup camp for court staff here at the new court complex on March 19.

Fr Patric Rodrigues, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions in his inaugural address said, "Negligence towards health has become a common aspect in our society. Whenever there is a health issue one needs to consult a doctor and not allow it to become acute. By identifying and getting good treatment at the right time we will increase the quality of our life. Such a thought has to be created in our minds. Taking care of health is crucial especially for those who work in the judiciary and have limited time for themselves. Many a time they cannot share their problems with others. So regular health checkups must be a habit. Giving time and care towards health is not a luxury, it is a requirement. I assure you that we are ready to introduce more services for people working in the judiciary."

Uma M G, district and sessions judge, Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru said, "One of the precious assets which can be preserved and maintained is good health. A habit of maintaining good health is the greatest gift that we can inherit for our future generation. People who work in the judiciary are secluded from society due to many reasons. They cannot share their problems and this leads to a pressure on them. In this context regular checkups to maintain good health is very essential. If there are healthy staff in the judiciary that will in turn lead to good services for society. I thank Fr Muller Institution for helping in organising this health checkup camp."

Ganesh Rao, senior civil judge was also present at the occasion.
