Brussels blasts : Injured Jet Airways crew out of danger, recovering

Brussels, Mar 23 (Agencies) : Woman who was pictured covered in blood and dust in aftermath of Brussels airport bombing is revealed to be an Indian air stewardess who is recovering in hospital

With blood dripping from her injured forehead and her clothes in tatters, Nidhi Chaphekar paused for a moment after emerging from the rubble of the decimated Brussels Airport.

The photograph of Ms Chaphekar, an Indian air stewardess from Mumbai, lying injured at the airport, epitomises the horrors of the terror attack in Brussels.

Like many of the people injured at the check-in, Ms Chaphekar had just arrived at the terminal ahead of meeting up with her colleagues for a flight to Newark, US, when a series of explosions tore through the building, killing and maiming dozens of people.

An hour later, a third explosion occurred in a metro carriage, leaving a total of 34 people dead in the Belgian capital.

Ms Chapekar, a mother of two children, was one of two Indian cabin crew members flying with Jet Airways and had been working for the airline for the past 15 years, according to The Sun.

Her photograph rapidly gained attention on social media, with #PrayForNidhi trending on social media.

A source close to her family confirmed that she is now in hospital recovering from her injuries.

Jet Airways cabin crew member Amit Motwani, from Mumbai, was caught up in the blasts but checked in as 'safe' on Facebook

The airline said in a statement on Tuesday: 'Two staff have sustained injuries in the explosion at Brussels airport. Both of them are receiving medical care at hospitals.

'Jet Airways has cancelled flights operating to/from and via Brussels.'

The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed in New Delhi that all Indians were safe.

'News from Brussels is disturbing. The attacks are condemnable. Condolences to families of the deceased. May those injured recover quickly,' tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"let him also find out who created and funded ISIS.....Let him shoot all those responsible for ISIS......"

Many have disagreed with you, because it is a bad suggestion and unfortunately cannot be carried out on account of the following reasons.

    1. ISIS is not a State or a people, it is an IDEOLOGY, and an ideology is abstract. So how can you shoot anything abstract.
    2. Guns were not discovered at the time of founding and creation of the ISIS, ONLY swords were used at that time.
    3. Unfortunately ALL those responsible for creating ISIS has been dead over 1400 years ago.
    4. As regards funding, NO ONE funded ISIS. The founders used to raid caravans passing the silk route and stole their goods and killed their captives – most by beheading (ISIS is only following what they are taught to do. Later, they established armies and began raiding nearby towns, villages and this was called "Ghazwa". Over the centuries large tracts of land from Al Andalus (Spain) and Al Hind (India) came under IS control as IS continued to steal, kill and take slaves and this movement reached the far shores of many countries as IS claimed they were wronged and “they were only defending themselves because they were being attacked . The male slaves were sold for hard cold cash, the young and attractive females were kept as sex slaves – SOUNDS FAMILIAR, HHHMmmmmm.
