CID gathers crucial leads in PU question paper leak

Bengaluru, Mar 27 (DHNS): The Criminal Investigation Department has managed to gather critical leads into the leakage of Second PU Chemistry question paper recently.

“We have gathered some important leads based on the information shared by the parents and the students. We are working on the leads and the investigation is in full swing,” DGP (CID) Sonia Narang told Deccan Herald. It is said that the source of leakage scam is Kolar, Tumakuru and Ballari. It is suspected that question paper was leaked at one place from where it was circulated to many places via WhatsApp, said sources .

“I can’t comment on any specific place and source at this juncture as investigation is underway. The police need to understand a few more things and collect some more information,” Narang added.

The probe so far suggested that the leakage took place either in the strongrooms or during the transportation of the question paper bundles to various centres. The possibility of the leakage at the exam centre looks bleak, said another officer.
