Kundapur, Mar 28: After a maxi cab hit a motor bike, the bike rider was killed on the spot. The victim was Ganesh Hegde (34) from Yedady Shiriyara in the taluk. The accident occurred at Haladi circle in the taluk on Monday March 28 morning.
The motor bike Hegde was riding was hit by a maxi cab belonging to Saligrama Yakshagana troupe. The maxi cab was moving towards Sagar in Shivamogga district from Kokkarne when the tragedy occurred. A case about the incident stands registered in Shankarnarayana police station.
Ganesh Hegde was the son of the late Uday Hegde from Yadady. He was working on daily wages basis in different fields like cooking, security, etc.
Haladi police sub-inspector, Dejappa, visited the spot and registered a case.
