Puttur, Mar 29: A woman committed suicide at her home by consuming some poisonous substance on Sunday night. The incident came to light on Monday March 28.

Yamuna (42), wife of Jogi from Panjala near Kadaba in the taluk chose to put an end to her life in this way when all the family members were sleeping. Reportedly, Yamuna was suffering from some sort of mental disorder.

After the family members came to know on Monday what had transpired, people's representatives including Kadaba zilla panchayat member, P P Verghese, visited the family. Kadaba station house officer, Umesh Uppalike, visited the spot, registered a case, and initiated investigation.
