Woman's golden neck chain snatched away at Bikarnakatte

Mangaluru, Apr 1: A gang of chain snatchers, which arrived in a motor bike, succeeded in snatching away a two and half sovereigns gold chain worn by Appi on Thursday March 31. Appi is a resident of Bikarnakatte Kaikamba.

Appi had taken part in Adumaroli festival on Tuesday night along with her daughter and granddaughter. She had come back in a car and had got down at Jayashree Gate in Bikarnakatte. When she was walking towards her home after alighting from the car, the pillion rider of a motor bike which approached her from behind, snatched away the chain before speeding away.

In this process, Appi suffered injuries to her eye, and she was treated for the same. Kadri police, who have registered the case, are investigating.
