Kasargod, Apr 1: In an incident which occurred at Chattanchal Pallattongal, a gang inflicted injuries on a student with a sabre on the night of Wednesday March 30.
In this incident, Mohammed Araf (20), son of Mohiuddin Bava from Chattanchal Pallattongal, who happens to be pursuing mobile mechanics course at Kannur, was attacked. Araf stands admitted into the general hospital here.
It is gathered that Mohammed Araf was walking towards his home on the night of Wednesday, when a gang which came in a jeep stopped and hit him in his hands, back, and neck with a sabre.
Araf has filed a complaint in this regard in the police station here. Police have launched investigation into the incident.
